The Context:
It is becoming common knowledge that the abilities offered by the ICTs are a great opportunity to enhance collaboration and strengthen the local tourism industry especially of the tourism destinations and SMEs in Euromed areas specially in Jordan, Tunisia and Morocco.
The objectives:
The first objective is to spread ICT and internet adoption in tourism destinations by realizing e-Business Cases and Hands-on Demonstrations and a Sensitization Program for sensitizing local tourism destinations’ decision-makers and stakeholders on the adoption and usage of ICTs and the Internet for planning, marketing, commercializing, coordinating & monitoring local tourism offerings.
The second one is establish an e-Business Readiness in the tourism industry in order to undertake a comprehensive analysis of the e-Business Readiness of local private tourism operators and collect training needs in the field of ICTs and e-Business in order to design sensitization workshops and vocational training initiatives.
